Carolyn Kilgus, left, holds a BA in Social Work and Sociology from Hood College. She received her MSW (with specializations in Family Therapy and Group Work) from Washington University in St. Louis.

Carolyn has earned post graduate certifications in Art Therapy from the School of Visual Arts in New York City and in College Admissions Counseling from the University of California at Riverside.

She is a member of several professional organizations including NACAC, HECA, and the Character Collaborative. She is an active member of the Big Island Writers’ Workshop and SouthWest Writers and her pieces have been featured in Grown and Flown, the largest website for parents with kids in college.

Ms. Kilgus has worked with adolescents and families in community based organizations, schools, and clinical settings for over thirty years. She is also the proud mother of two daughters who are happy, debt-free collegiate music/theatre/ STEM graduates. She currently resides in New Mexico and Vermont and practices virtually and in-person.
